Welcome!

This is my site dedicated to my chinchillas. I have been breeding chins now for about 5 years. I do try to be active in the show ring, showing whenever I can. I have done well for the most part. I have started helping out with the show table, so the amount of chins that I will be showing are going to be small as it's hard to groom and run the table.

My goal is to breed for the highest quality, to help better the genes out there. I do breed for show, and have many pets available. I try to do my best and help people when and where I can. If you have any questions, PLEASE I urge you to ask..

Dates of Shows I Will be Attending

National 09' - I'm trying to make it to the show, however I'm not sure if I will be able to make it. I'm sending ONE female with some friends to compeat!

York 09' - Planning it and loving it! Again hoping to make it. Not sure as of yet tho!

Princess And BearBear

The picture above shows two of my favorite chins, Princess (sapphire) and BearBear (TOV Eb sapphire carrier). I chose them for the front page, because Princess, who started out as only a pet won many awards. At York 05', she won Color Phase Champion, as well as Color Section Champion. She did give me one male kit, Noble Bear (Noble) who I will show when he is old enough. Sadly, Princess was put down after Noble was weaned due to health problems. That is where BearBear picked up the role where she left off. BearBear is the father of Noble. When I had Princess put down, BearBear stayed in with Noble as a companion. These two are very special to me. They have a strong connection with Princess and remind me of every joyous day I had with her. BearBear passed a little over a year later and never produced since the one litter with Princess. Princess and BearBear, You are greatly Missed.

Princess - August 04' to Feb 06'

BearBear - Sept 04' to July 07'

What Colors I breed

Currently, I am striving toward improving the sapphire line. While I know this is very difficult, most chins in my herd are sapphire or sapphire carriers. Over the past few years my Standard sc's are exreamly strong. I have defenatly reached my goal with them in a shorter time that what I thought it would take. I just need to expand it!

I am grateful to the people who have allowed me access to there knowledge on the sapphire mutation. I would like to thank a few of the people/ranchers who have taken the time to spread their knowledge to me: Thank you Dave and Chris Woods (WhiteWoods), Ryersons, Megan, and all the others! There are too many to list. ! You do not know how much I have enjoyed and learned from our talks and conversations!

Sapphires are not the only thing that I breed. I do have Standards, Black Velvets, Beiges, whites, and Ebonies. I do also enjoy breeding for these colors. I stared out saying that I would never get back into the beige line, but low and behold when mixed with the other two mutations, they created a special color that I holds a place in my heart and herd.

Updates ~

This is a work in progress for me. It may take a while to completely get it up and running. Please bear with me!
